Alberta goes to the polls today. Canadian elections remind me of how precious freedom is and how much I have to be grateful for. Even as I walk to my local elementary school polling station, and bid good day to my fellow Albertans as they also make their way to vote, my heart swells. I get to vote in safety. My vote get’s counted.

I am so very lucky. I have the incredible privilege of Canadian citizenship. This is one of the greatest gifts that will ever be bestowed on me.
